The Royal Durban Golf Club is one of only a few golf courses that is literally situated in the middle of a horse racing track.
We were contracted to install a 4.5m Centurion Sector boom at Gate 16 in order to control the access to the Race course.
We installed Photon II wireless safety beams for extra security measure, so as to ensure the boom gate does not close while there is a vehicle still in the way.
The GDC Fabrication team manufactured goosenecks out of galvanised steel so that the Golf Club could install card readers to allow members access to the property.
For ease of use, our Technical team also installed a ground loop so that the boom automatically opens as you drive over it to exit the course.
