Gate & Door Control were recently appointed by Virginia Airport to install a 6m manual boom gate at a security check point.
These manual road barriers are designed to withstand coastal conditions, to be robust and user friendly, which makes them perfect for this application right so close to the beach. Because of the length and weight of the boom pole, they opted for a fixed catch post, where the pole can be locked in the down position, thereby also enhancing the security when no guard is available.
